Dr. Yakubu Seidu Adam has officially been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), taking office on May 6, 2025. This marks a new chapter in the leadership of Ghana’s largest referral hospital.
Leadership Transition at Korle Bu
Dr. Adam’s appointment follows the end of Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah’s tenure in October 2024. Since then, Dr. Frank Owusu-Sekyere had been serving as acting CEO. The hospital’s board, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, finalized Dr. Adam’s elevation to lead the institution into its next phase.
