Highlife Legend Dada KD Passes Away at 44

Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has passed away at the age of 44. The beloved singer reportedly died on Friday, May 16, 2025, in the United States, after a brief illness.

While the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, close sources suggest the artist had been unwell for a short period prior to his passing.

News of his death was confirmed by fellow highlife artiste Dada Hafco, who, although not physically present at the scene, stated he received the information from a highly credible source.

“If you ask me to confirm myself, I can’t because I’m not around where the incident happened, but somebody called to tell me, and that is a very credible source,” Dada Hafco said.

Dada KD’s sudden death has triggered a wave of grief and tributes across social media from fans and fellow musicians.
