Malik Basintale, the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), has expressed strong interest in partnering with dancehall star Shatta Wale to elevate the reach and impact of his Shaxi transportation company. The proposal, made via a social media post, aims to promote innovation, create jobs, and scale Shaxi into a leading transport solution across Ghana.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Basintale publicly extended a hand of partnership to the musician, writing:

“Let’s partner to make Shaxi, Ghanaian-owned, big. Hear from you soon!”

This gesture signals YEA’s willingness to support innovative, local ventures that align with its core mandate—empowering young Ghanaians through sustainable job creation and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Shaxi and Its Potential for Job Creation

Shaxi (Shatta Taxi) was launched by Shatta Wale in December 2021 as a ride-hailing platform tailored to the Ghanaian market. Unlike traditional profit-driven models, Shaxi was built with a social impact focus—creating jobs for the youth and providing affordable transport services to the public.

The prospect of a collaboration with YEA opens up new possibilities for scaling operations, improving driver welfare, and expanding the platform’s reach beyond major cities.
