A delegation of Ghanaians who participated in the Creator Content Training organised by the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, United States, has returned home after completing the international capacity-building programme. The training equipped participants with practical skills in digital storytelling, media production and content creation to strengthen communication and evangelism in the digital age.

The programme formed part of the Church’s OneVoice27 communication initiative, which brought together communication directors, media professionals and digital content creators from different parts of the world to improve their ability to communicate effectively across multiple digital platforms.

Among the Ghanaian representatives was Pastor Dr. Samuel K. Dorgbetor, Communication Director of the South East Ghana Union Mission, who represented the Union during the training. Participants explored innovative communication tools, digital engagement strategies and collaborative approaches designed to support the Church’s global evangelism mission.

The delegation expressed appreciation to the leadership of the West-Central Africa Division and the General Conference Communication Department for providing the opportunity and resources that enabled delegates from the region to participate in the programme. They also commended the organisers for delivering a practical learning experience and extending warm hospitality throughout the event.

Communication experts say training in digital media and content creation is becoming increasingly important as organisations seek to reach wider audiences through online platforms. They note that such initiatives help participants develop the skills needed to produce credible, engaging and impactful digital content.

The Church said the knowledge gained during the programme would be applied to strengthen digital evangelism and improve communication across its various institutions in Ghana. The initiative also supports preparations for the global OneVoice27 campaign, which is expected to culminate in September 2027.

Church leaders believe the training will enhance the quality of digital outreach in Ghana while empowering communicators to use modern media tools to share positive messages and engage broader audiences.
