President Mahama orders removal of structures to curb flooding around Mallam Junction

President John Dramani Mahama has directed the immediate demolition of all structures built on waterways around Mallam Junction in the Weija Gbawe Municipality.
The President emphasized that this directive is crucial to mitigating the devastating impact of perennial floods, which have plagued the area for years, resulting in loss of lives and destruction of property.

The move aligns with the government’s broader efforts to improve drainage systems and prevent future flooding disasters in flood-prone areas. Authorities are expected to enforce the directive swiftly to ensure public safety and protect lives and property.
