Ghanaian musician Article Wan has pushed back against claims that his music career is losing momentum, insisting that he remains active and confident about his future in the industry.

Speaking on the 3FM Blocparty Show, the musician said he does not allow people’s perceptions about his career to determine how he sees himself.

“I have not fallen, but if you feel like I’ve fallen, it’s your feeling. I am working,” he said.

Article Wan revealed that even a close friend once told him he would never achieve another major breakthrough, but said he refused to accept the prediction.

“A close friend of mine told me I will never blow again. I laughed and told the person, ‘It is what you think, but I don’t accept it,’” he recounted.

According to him, negative comments can only affect someone when they choose to believe them.

“If someone tells you something and you accept it and believe in it, it can work on you, but not me. Watch out for me,” he said.

The musician also spoke about the inspiration behind his music, saying his faith remains central to his work.

Although his songs are often classified as “circular music” within the industry, Article Wan said he sees his music differently.

“I am working for God. They call the kind of songs I do circular music, but to me, I’m doing the word of God. No voodoo can give you the kind of talent I have,” he said.
