Police at Obawale in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region have arrested a 41-year-old Accounts Clerk of Klo-Agogo Senior High School over the alleged defilement of a 15-year-old female Junior High School student. Corrections Policy
The suspect, identified as Saviour Attor, was arrested following a complaint lodged by the victim’s grandfather on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, with assistance from the Assembly Member for the area.The case has since been referred to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) for investigation.
The unit is responsible for handling cases involving vulnerable persons, including children, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other forms of gender-based violence.
According to the police, the victim’s grandfather, the Assembly Member, and officers from the Obawale Police Station proceeded to the suspect’s residence after the complaint was made.
The suspect was arrested at the residence and subsequently handed over to DOVVSU officers for further investigation.
In her statement to investigators, the victim alleged that the suspect forcibly had sexual intercourse with her after sending her to purchase a sachet of water.
