President John Dramani Mahama is set to unveil a comprehensive Code of Conduct for all government appointees on Monday, May 5, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance accountability, transparency, and ethical governance within the public sector.

A Commitment to Ethical Governance

The forthcoming Code of Conduct is a cornerstone of President Mahama’s “Resetting the Nation” agenda, reflecting his administration’s dedication to instilling discipline and integrity in public service. The code is expected to outline clear guidelines on ethical behavior, conflict of interest, financial disclosures, and performance standards for government officials.

In a statement reported by 3News, President Mahama emphasized that the code would serve as a binding commitment to ethical governance, ensuring that public officials act in the best interest of the Ghanaian people.

As part of efforts to promote modesty and fiscal responsibility, President Mahama has imposed a ban on first-class air travel for government officials during official trips. Additionally, the President has announced plans to introduce a comprehensive code of conduct for all government officials, aimed at ensuring accountability, modesty, and responsible governance.
