Real Madrid ‘hold talks’ with No.1 manager target as constant Jurgen Klopp attempts revealed

Real Madrid are reportedly making moves to secure their next head coach following a humiliating 5-1 Champions League quarter-final defeat to Arsenal. Despite still having the Copa del Rey final to play, it is widely believed that Carlo Ancelotti will be dismissed regardless of the result, as he prepares to take over the Brazil national team.

Xabi Alonso Leads Real Madrid’s Shortlist
According to respected journalist Florian Plettenberg, Real Madrid have renewed contact with Xabi Alonso’s camp, with Alonso’s top advisor Inaki Ibanez holding talks with the club “once again.”
The Spanish legend has done a remarkable job at Bayer Leverkusen, and while the German side would prefer to retain his services, they are reportedly preparing for his departure and will demand a significant compensation package.

Klopp Dismisses Managerial Return Rumours
Though Jürgen Klopp’s name had been linked to the Madrid job — especially amid reports he is unhappy at Red Bullwhere he recently took over as Head of Global Soccer — his agent has denied any interest in a return to coaching in the near future.
“Jurgen is very happy with his new role,” said his representative, firmly dismissing any suggestions of a quick managerial comeback.
Sky Germany also reports that top clubs and national teams have reached out to Klopp, including Real Madrid and Brazil, but the German tactician has no intention of taking up a new coaching role next season.

Real Madrid Eye Zubimendi, Monitor Saliba Situation
On the transfer front, Martin Zubimendi, previously thought to be headed to Arsenal, is now reportedly leaning towards a move to Madrid.
Meanwhile, William Saliba has emerged as a surprise interest for Los Blancos. While Arsenal may consider letting go of the Frenchman, they are said to be open only under specific terms — including a possible exchange deal involving Arda Güler and Endrick.
However, Real Madrid are not keen on giving up their rising stars and may instead look to sign Saliba on a free transfer when his current deal at Arsenal expires in 2027, suggesting a long-term pursuit.
