SHS Science Students will no longer read Core Mathematics and Integrated Science. (2024/2025)

Science students to stop reading core maths and integrated Science soon.

Director-General of the National Council and Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Professor Edward Appiah has announced that Senior high students of Ghanaian schools who read General Science as a course will no longer be required to take core maths and integrated science.

Edward Appiah is an Associate Professor of Design and Pedagogy at the Department of Communication Design, KNUST, Kumasi. Mr Edward Appiah stated that this decision has been taken ahead of the 2024/2025 academic year because they already read pure science.

Hence, there will be no separate timetable for these courses and all high school science and students who offer science will read these 2 subjects as the electives they already do.
