ECG announces power outages in parts of Accra from October 12 to 16

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of the Accra West Region from Monday, October 12, to Friday, October 16, 2026, to undertake maintenance works.

According to notices issued on Sunday, October 11, the outages will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.

ECG said the maintenance exercise is intended to improve service delivery and apologised to customers in the affected communities for the inconvenience.

Monday, October 12.

The power interruption will affect Mile 7 Estates, Caledonia Hotel, Great Gardens, Fountain Gate Church, ECO Block, Franco Estate, Pokuase BSP and Koans Estate, as well as adjoining areas.

Tuesday, October 13.

Residents and businesses around Ameriya Last Stop and surrounding communities should expect an interruption in power supply.

Wednesday, October 14.

Affected areas include Tabora Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, Bankyease, Race Course, Alhaji, Kwashiebu, Gbawe Bulemin, Gonse, Joma, Agbozome and CP, alongside nearby communities.

Thursday, October 15.

The outage will affect Mallam Junction, Weija-Gbawe Municipal Hospital, South McCarthy, Sampa Valley, Kokrobite, Oshiyie, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie and Ayikai Doblo, as well as surrounding areas.

Friday, October 16.

Kotoku, Papase, Chinto, Doblo and Medie, together with nearby communities, will experience a temporary power interruption.

ECG has urged customers in the affected areas to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the maintenance works.
