Her comments have since drawn attention to the experiences of women working in Ghana’s music industry and renewed discussions about the challenges female artistes may encounter in areas such as opportunities, recognition, industry support and career advancement.

Wendy Shay has established herself as one of Ghana’s prominent female artistes in recent years, with several hit songs and major industry appearances to her credit.

Her latest remarks come amid broader conversations about women’s opportunities and experiences within Ghana’s creative industry.
