Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak, has sharply criticized the Majority Caucus in Parliament for tolerating the presence of Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, within their ranks.
According to Ras Mubarak, A Plus’ continued association with the caucus is unacceptable, especially after what he describes as disrespect towards the Attorney General, a senior figure in the group.
In a statement shared via social media, Mubarak expressed concern about what he sees as the caucus’ failure to uphold discipline and protect its own members from public attacks.
“Why must A-Plus remain in a group platform of the Majority Caucus after seeking to sully the reputation of the Hon. Attorney General who is a bonafide senior member of the NDC in Parliament?” Mubarak questioned.
He further warned that allowing such behavior compromises the strength and integrity of the caucus.
“A-Plus sitting with the NDC is so inconsequential. The NDC caucus is naked if they can tolerate such disrespect of one of their most senior members in parliament. This is not even appeasement; it is pandering to character assassination and blackmail,” he added.
