The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has alleged that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing to petition for the removal of the Electoral Commission Chairperson.
According to Nana B, once the government succeeds in removing the Chief Justice, the next step will be to remove the Electoral Commission Chairperson.
Making the claims via a post shared on social media, Nana B stated:
“CJ’s Suspension: The NDC has prepared people to come out with petitions for the removal of the Electoral commissioner if they succeed in removing the Chief Justice.”
Growing Tensions
Meanwhile, some political parties have hinted at organizing demonstrations to protest the suspension of the Chief Justice and the dismissal of certain public sector employees.
