A new Ballon d’Or 2024 favourites ranking has been revealed, showing a surprising shake-up with Brazil’s superstar Vinicius Jr losing his long-time first position. This shift comes after Brazil’s early exit from the Copa America, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals despite Vinicius Jr scoring 2 goals in 3 matches. His early exit has left the door open for another player to take the top spot.

Lionel Messi remains a contender as he prepares for another Copa America with Argentina and is having a noteworthy season with Inter Miami. Meanwhile, Barcelona’s wonderkid Lamine Yamal, who just turned 17, is climbing the ranks and now sits at 14th on the list.     Midwifery Students Association (UGHANMSA), Deputy Head of the Business
    and Political Chamber of PENSA Legon, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of
    the Oti Region Students Association (ORSA), and a Member of the
    University of Ghana Parliament House.

    Over the years, he has led and supported numerous student-centered
    initiatives, including academic tutorials, mentorship programmes,
    welfare interventions, and advocacy campaigns aimed at improving the
    student experience and promoting collective growth.

    As an aspiring President of the University of Ghana Students'
    Representative Council (UGSRC) for the 2026/2027 academic year,
    Abraham seeks to champion a vision centered on student welfare,
    accountability, inclusiveness, innovation, and effective representation.
