“I’m not broke and I don’t care”- Michael Essien speaks for the first time as court auctions his houses

In a shocking revelation to Micheal’s closest friend, the retired Black Stars player who is currently trending at number one has vehemently denied requests for interviews regarding the recent auction of his houses.

The two properties, situated in prime locations at Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon, and Trassaco Valley, are no longer under the footballer’s ownership, and according to his friend, he is unconcerned about the situation.

The friend further elaborated that Essien initially entered into a mortgage agreement with the estate developers but later found the high monthly payments unsustainable. This led him to default on the payments, ultimately resulting in the auctions to recover the developers’ investments.

Despite this recent controversy, the friend emphasized that Essien maintains a successful property portfolio, owning residences in London, Spain, and Ghana.

    welfare interventions, and advocacy campaigns aimed at improving the
    student experience and promoting collective growth.

    As an aspiring President of the University of Ghana Students'
    Representative Council (UGSRC) for the 2026/2027 academic year,
    Abraham seeks to champion a vision centered on student welfare,
    accountability, inclusiveness, innovation, and effective representation.
