In a shocking and tragic incident, emerging musician Wyllbee was lynched in Tanoso, Ashanti Region, after being mistaken for a thief. The tragic event unfolded as Wyllbee was returning from a late-night visit to his girlfriend. His girlfriend, engaged to a Ghanaian man living in Brazil and residing with her in-laws, reportedly denied knowing Wyllbee to protect her engagement.

While sneaking out of the house at dawn, Wyllbee was confronted by neighborhood residents who, suspecting him of being a thief, brutally beat him. Despite his desperate attempts to clarify his identity and his relationship with the girlfriend, she denied any association with him. This denial further fueled the residents’ anger, leading to Wyllbee’s lynching.

The news of Wyllbee’s untimely death has left the community in shock. His body has been deposited at the morgue, and the police in Tanoso-Abuakwa have begun an investigation into the incident.
