SHOCKER – UMaT student allegedly poisoned to death after securing a scholarship to the UK

Davis Frimpong Manso, a Level 300 student of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), has died under troubling and mysterious circumstances just days after being awarded a prestigious scholarship to the United Kingdom.

The Logistics and Transport student reportedly collapsed at his hostel on UMaT’s Takoradi campus on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was rushed to the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.

Poisoning Allegations Surface Amid Investigation

While the official cause of death remains unconfirmed, multiple reports on social media suggest that Davis may have been poisoned. According to eyewitness claims circulating online, he allegedly consumed food that was later believed to be laced with poison — and shared it with his roommate, who has since disappeared.
