The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has officially invited veteran journalist and former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, for questioning in connection with an alleged corruption scandal involving a controversial revenue assurance audit contract.
In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP identified Adom-Otchere as a suspect in its ongoing investigation into suspected corruption and related offences linked to a deal between GACL and a private audit firm. The probe reportedly centers on potential irregularities and conflicts of interest in the contract’s approval and execution.
According to the letter, Adom-Otchere is expected to appear before OSP investigators at the institution’s South Ridge office on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

When contacted, Paul Adom-Otchere confirmed that he had received the formal invitation from the Special Prosecutor’s office. He noted that his legal team has requested a rescheduled date Monday, August 4 due to existing court engagements in Kumasi, where they are currently involved in legal proceedings.
Speaking further, Adom-Otchere expressed his surprise at being singled out in the investigation. He questioned why a former Board Chairman, whose role was largely supervisory, would be targeted over decisions made by GACL management. “The managing director and other members of the executive team are still in office and available,” he said, implying that the focus of the probe may be misplaced.
This latest move by the OSP adds a dramatic twist to the growing scrutiny surrounding financial dealings at key state institutions, as anti-graft efforts gain momentum in Ghana.
