2 EPA staff interdicted for fraud and forgery of CEO’s signature

The Environmental Protection Authority has taken decisive action by interdicting two officers, Daniel Godsway and George Amoako, over serious allegations of fraud, document forgery, impersonation, and falsification of official records.
Investigations revealed that the duo forged the signature of the EPA’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Prof. Nana Ama Browne Klutse, in a blatant abuse of authority.
A memo signed by Prof. Klutse condemned their actions as a serious breach of fiduciary duty and a direct violation of official authority. The document further emphasized that their offenses may contravene Ghana’s Criminal Code 1960 (Act 29), specifically regarding forgery, fraudulent misrepresentation, and unauthorized use of official documents.

As a result, both officers have been interdicted pending further investigations.
Environmental Protection Authority Reaffirms Zero Tolerance for Corruption
The EPA has strongly reiterated its commitment to transparency and integrity, warning that any unauthorized manipulation or forgery of official documents will not be tolerated. The authority has assured the public that strict measures are in place to safeguard the authenticity of its communications and prevent future breaches.
This shocking case underscores the EPA’s firm stance against corruption and reinforces its mission to uphold credibility within the institution.
