Russia has expressed its readiness to cooperate with Ghanaian authorities in dealing with the case involving Russian national Vladislav Liulkov, who has been accused of secretly recording women in Ghana.
Russian Ambassador to Ghana, Andrei Ordash, said Moscow is prepared to engage with the relevant Ghanaian authorities to ensure the matter is addressed appropriately and in line with the law.
The case involving Liulkov has generated public interest following allegations that he recorded women without their knowledge or consent.
Commenting on the issue, Ambassador Ordash also called for Ghana and Russia to establish a formal extradition agreement to strengthen legal cooperation between the two countries.
He explained that such an agreement would create a clear legal framework for handling cases involving citizens of either country who may be wanted in connection with alleged offences.
The Ambassador’s call comes amid increasing discussions about the need for stronger international cooperation in dealing with criminal cases involving foreign nationals.
Ambassador Ordash reaffirmed Russia’s willingness to work with Ghanaian authorities on the matter, while stressing the importance of deepening legal and judicial cooperation between the two countries.
