This 3-1 win, however, boosted the team’s chances of qualifying to the next phase after succumbing to the Ecuadorian team in the initial outing.
In Charles Sampson’s view the game was characterized by all of what is expected of an African team, especially the commitment, hard work, speed, technique as well as the character that he yearns from his team.
“The team played as required and demonstrated all that is necessary for the team to put things back on track. The performance they showed is that character that I know the team had all along,” Sampson noted.

The expectation would be for the team to maintain the form it showed against Korea in its match against France, which seems to be a very important game for both sides. Charles Sampson also urged his players to remain focused.
His plea will certainly have boosted the players even further especially knowing that this match marks the final game of this very important competition.
Ghana needed to play beyond its capabilities to reach the second level which means to come back and win against France.
