A woman in her 40s has reportedly sustained a serious injury to her ear after she was allegedly attacked and bitten by her landlord’s wife during a confrontation at Fufuo in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.

The victim, identified as Yaa Achiaa, is said to have engaged in a disagreement with her landlord’s wife, known only as Afia, following a dispute over the disciplining of Achiaa’s daughter.

According to the victim and her family, the incident occurred on Thursday, September 3, when Achiaa was correcting her daughter over alleged misconduct.

Afia is alleged to have intervened and encouraged the child to resist her mother’s disciplinary action. Her intervention reportedly led to a confrontation after Achiaa questioned why she had become involved in the matter.

The disagreement allegedly escalated from a verbal exchange into a physical fight between the two women.

During the altercation, Afia is alleged to have bitten Achiaa on the ear, causing a severe wound and significant bleeding.

Witnesses who were present reportedly stepped in to separate the women and subsequently assisted Achiaa in receiving first aid.

The incident has sparked concern among residents, with questions being raised about the events that led to the confrontation.

However, the allegations against Afia have not been independently verified. It is also unclear whether Achiaa or her family has formally reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service or whether anyone has been arrested.

Further information is expected if investigations are launched to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At this stage, the claims remain allegations, and Afia has not yet had the opportunity to publicly respond to them.
