Chef Abby is set to stage the second edition of The Big Street Feast, a major food initiative aimed at providing meals to people living on the streets of Accra and Kumasi.
The event, scheduled for October 16, 2026, in commemoration of World Food Day, is expected to serve food to more than 50,000 people across the two cities.
Announcing the initiative, Chef Abby appealed to individuals, organisations, businesses and other stakeholders to support the project and help make the second edition a success.
According to her, the scale of this year’s programme requires collective effort, making it difficult for her to execute the initiative alone.
She urged the public to contribute in any way possible towards the event, which is intended to reach vulnerable people who may struggle to afford regular meals.
“The Big Street Feast 2.0 is here. On World Food Day, October 16th, we are feeding OVER 50,000 people on the streets of ACCRA & KUMASI,” she announced.
“But I can’t do this alone. We need all the support we can get.”
The initiative is expected to mobilise volunteers, donors and other supporters to distribute meals to people in need across Accra and Kumasi, building on the success of its inaugural edition.
