Reverend Dr. Cyril Fayose has dismissed allegations linking him to financial loss within the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, insisting he has acted lawfully and in the best interest of the Church throughout his service.
The General Secretary of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, rejected claims that his actions contributed to financial losses allegedly incurred by the Church. He described the accusations as unfounded and urged members to rely on verified facts rather than speculation as discussions over the matter continue.
According to Reverend Dr. Fayose, all financial and administrative decisions taken by the Church have followed established governance structures and constitutional procedures. He maintained that there has been no deliberate act on his part that resulted in financial loss to the institution.
He further called on members of the Church to remain calm and avoid circulating unverified information that could damage the reputation of the Church and its leadership. He stressed the importance of resolving concerns through the appropriate internal processes while preserving the unity of the denomination.
The response comes amid ongoing discussions over the management of Church affairs, following allegations made against some senior officials. Church leaders have maintained that accountability and transparency remain central to the institution’s administration and that any concerns raised will be addressed through the appropriate channels.
Religious governance experts say disputes involving faith-based organisations should be handled with fairness, transparency and due process to protect public confidence while safeguarding the integrity of the institutions involved.
Reverend Dr. Fayose reaffirmed his commitment to serving the Church with integrity and called on members to remain focused on the mission of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, while allowing the appropriate processes to determine the facts surrounding the matter.
