General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has firmly denied rumours suggesting he has taken over the responsibilities of the party’s National Chairman, Stephen Ntim. He insists that Mr Ntim remains the duly elected leader of the party and continues to operate in that capacity.

“Stephen Ntim Is Our Chairman” – Kodua Responds to Speculation

In a televised interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, June 18, Mr Kodua addressed growing speculation within political circles and among party supporters regarding his influence in the party hierarchy.

“I have not taken his job. Stephen Ntim is our National Chairman. He is the elected National Chairman of our party now,” Kodua stressed.

His response comes amid concerns that he may be exercising authority beyond his office as General Secretary, potentially overshadowing the Chairman’s role. However, Mr Kodua clarified that there is no confusion or power struggle within the party’s ranks.

NPP Leadership United Ahead of 2024 Polls

Mr Kodua further assured the public and party members that the NPP leadership remains united, with both he and Mr Ntim working hand-in-hand to push the party’s agenda forward as Ghana approaches the 2024 general elections.
