Why Ofori-Atta Is on INTERPOL’s Radar
According to the OSP, Ofori-Atta failed to honour a scheduled invitation for questioning on June 2, 2025, in relation to multiple ongoing investigations. These include procurement irregularities linked to the National Cathedral project, petroleum revenue mismanagement, and other public finance scandals during his tenure.
Despite being given opportunities to cooperate, the former minister allegedly ignored repeated summons. His conduct prompted the OSP to escalate the matter to INTERPOL, citing him as a fugitive from justice.
