    In a groundbreaking move to make internet access more affordable, Ghana’s Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations has announced a special Independence Day data bundle offer, giving Ghanaians 6GB of data for only GHC10.

    Launched in partnership with leading telecommunication companies, this exclusive Independence Day offer aims to promote digital inclusion and provide citizens with affordable internet connectivity during the nation’s 68th Independence celebrations.

    Speaking on the importance of the initiative, the minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to bridging the digital gap and unlocking opportunities through widespread internet access.

    “This initiative highlights our dedication to building the enablers for a truly digitalised Ghana, offering Ghanaians the vast opportunities of an interconnected world, all from the comfort of their homes,” the minister stated.


    More Interventions to Reduce Internet Costs Coming

    Beyond the discounted data package, the ministry is set to unveil a comprehensive strategy on Friday, outlining both short-term and long-term measures to drive down internet costs across the country.

    This move aligns with the government’s goal of ensuring that all Ghanaians, regardless of location or income level, have access to affordable, reliable, and high-speed internet.

      Midwifery Students Association (UGHANMSA), Deputy Head of the Business
      and Political Chamber of PENSA Legon, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of
      the Oti Region Students Association (ORSA), and a Member of the
      University of Ghana Parliament House.

      Over the years, he has led and supported numerous student-centered
      initiatives, including academic tutorials, mentorship programmes,
      welfare interventions, and advocacy campaigns aimed at improving the
      student experience and promoting collective growth.

      As an aspiring President of the University of Ghana Students'
      Representative Council (UGSRC) for the 2026/2027 academic year,
      Abraham seeks to champion a vision centered on student welfare,
      accountability, inclusiveness, innovation, and effective representation.
