Ghanaian music stars, emerging talents and diaspora artistes were celebrated at the 2026 Ghana Music Awards Europe, with Wendy Shay taking home the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at a ceremony held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The event brought together musicians, industry professionals and members of the Ghanaian music community in Europe to celebrate outstanding achievements and musical productions across various categories.
Wendy Shay’s victory in the coveted Artiste of the Year category emerged as one of the major highlights of the ceremony, adding another significant award to her career.
Other prominent winners included Piesie Esther, who was crowned Gospel Artiste of the Year, while Highlife star Kofi Kinaata won the Highlife Artiste of the Year award.
Stonebwoy was named Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, while rising musician Kojo Blak received the New Artiste of the Year award in recognition of his growing influence in the Ghanaian music industry.

Black Sherif also received recognition as Male Vocalist of the Year, highlighting his contribution to Ghana’s contemporary music landscape.
Elsewhere, Kweku Smoke won Best Music Video of the Year, while Medikal picked up the Best Collaboration of the Year award.
