The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced an eight-hour emergency power outage affecting several communities in the Accra East Region today, Sunday, August 30, 2026.
According to ECG, the interruption is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.
The power distributor said the outage is required to enable its engineers to repair an identified fault and improve the reliability of electricity supply in the affected areas.
Areas expected to experience the interruption include parts of Trassaco, Saso, Sidalco, Signature Apartments, Cassa Trassaco and Action Chapel.
Other affected locations include the Bank of Ghana warehouse, Tip Toe Lane, Odo Rice, parts of Caprice and nearby communities.
ECG has apologised to residents and businesses within the affected areas for the inconvenience the emergency maintenance work may cause.
