Friends of Bawumia UK has congratulated Mr. Andy Owusu on his election as Chairman of the NPP UK Branch and pledged its full support to his new administration.
In a statement the group described Owusu’s victory in the branch elections held on 8 August as a reflection of the “confidence and trust” members have placed in his leadership and commitment to the party.
FOB UK said it was confident that under Owusu’s stewardship, the branch would “strengthen its structures, deepen member engagement, and promote the values and objectives of the party here in the UK.”
“As a dedicated volunteer group within the NPP, Friends of Bawumia UK pledges its full cooperation and support to the new Chairman, Mr Andy Owusu,” the statement signed by Coordinator Dr. E. Adjei Yeboah said.
The group added that it looks forward to “working collaboratively with his administration in the interest of party unity, organizational growth, and electoral success.”
Reaffirming the need for unity after the elections, FOB UK cited former vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s message that “Together we stand, divided we fall.”
The group said the message underscores “the importance of collective purpose, reconciliation, and teamwork as the party prepares for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
FOB UK also congratulated all other newly-elected executives and commended candidates, delegates, election officials and members for a “peaceful, transparent, and democratic electoral process.”
“As the branch turns a new page, FOB UK calls on all members and supporters to unite behind the newly elected leadership in the spirit of comradeship, mutual respect, and shared commitment to the progress of the Party,” the statement added.
