The Emirates Airline Foundation and Emirates Auction have raised AED 8.8 million (approximately USD 2.4 million) through a high-profile charity auction, strengthening humanitarian support for vulnerable children in South Africa and around the world.

The funds were generated through the auction of seven rare Emirates Skywards memberships, with 100% of the proceeds allocated to new initiatives and the expansion of the Foundation’s grassroots partner network.

Organisers described the event as a landmark collaboration and confirmed that the partnership is set to become an annual initiative. The recurring format is expected to provide a sustainable funding stream for long-term child-focused humanitarian programmes.

The Emirates Airline Foundation supports projects that deliver healthcare, education and essential services to disadvantaged children globally. By combining aviation-linked exclusivity with philanthropy, the auction model aims to attract high-value bidders while maximising direct impact on the ground.

Foundation representatives said the newly raised funds will help scale support systems, strengthen local partnerships and ensure continued assistance to children facing poverty, displacement and limited access to basic services.

With the initiative now positioned as a recurring fixture, stakeholders anticipate increased momentum and broader participation in future editions, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission to create measurable and lasting social impact.
