Ernest Ofori Sarpong Reportedly Loses Son

Ghanaian business mogul Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, CEO of Special Ice Company Limited and a prominent figure in the hospitality and beverage industry, has been hit by tragedy following reports of the death of his son, Michael Kwesi Ofori.

Sources close to the family say Michael passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, though details surrounding the cause of death remain unclear. The family is yet to issue an official statement, but friends and associates have begun expressing condolences on social media.

Michael Kwesi Ofori, believed to be in his early 30s, was known to be involved in some of his father’s business ventures and had maintained a relatively low public profile.
