Igbo Community Leader Responds to Accusations by Hassan Ayariga: “I Leave Him to God”
The Leader of the Igbo Community in Ghana has spoken out against what he calls “defamatory and completely unfounded” accusations made by politician Hassan Ayariga.

Unfounded Allegations of Trafficking
Hassan Ayariga reportedly claimed that Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu is masquerading as a businessman while engaging in sex and human trafficking. In a recent interview, the Igbo leader asserted that these allegations are not only damaging but also deeply irresponsible.
“You have to prove it. You can’t accuse someone without evidence. That’s defamation of character. I don’t even know who he is. I see him as a presidential candidate, not my friend. I’ve never encountered him in my life,” he stated.

Clarifying the National Intelligence Bureau Invitation
Ihenetu also addressed reports about his invitation by the National Intelligence Bureau, clarifying that it was unrelated to Ayariga’s allegations. Instead, it pertained to the ongoing ‘kingdom controversy’ within his community, which has led to significant misinformation circulating online.
“For him to claim he ordered National Security to arrest me—who does he think he is? A judge? A president? That’s not how a public figure should communicate,” he emphasized. “There was never a protest at my house. Some individuals took my pictures and placed them beside protest scenes online. That’s fake. There are even threats on social media targeting Nigerians, so it’s understandable that state security wants to hear from me.”

Future Legal Actions
When asked about the possibility of suing Ayariga for defamation, the Igbo leader simply replied that he leaves the matter to God, emphasizing his desire for a higher resolution.
The ongoing controversy revolves around claims that Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has acquired over 50 acres of land to establish an “Igbo Village” community in Ghana, reportedly against state laws.
