Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah is on the verge of completing a high-profile move to Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah FC, in what is expected to be one of KRC Genk’s most financially rewarding transfers in recent years.

The 20-year-old has attracted growing attention since joining Genk from Norwegian club Sarpsborg in 2023. His performances have made him a top target for Al Qadsiah, with negotiations now at an advanced stage. The deal is expected to be concluded in the coming days.

While the final transfer fee has not been officially disclosed, insider sources reveal that Genk will make a substantial profit—well above the €5.2 million they initially spent to bring him in.

From Genk to the Gulf – a calculated career leap

Bonsu Baah, currently under contract with Genk until 2028, has grown into a key figure for the Belgian club. He has featured in 90 matches, netting five goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.

The impending transfer to Saudi Arabia is being viewed as a strategic move. Reports suggest that Bonsu Baah could use his time in the Saudi Pro League as a platform for further development, with the potential of returning to Europe at a higher level in the near future.
