Urgent alert: See the areas that will be affected by ECG’s planned maintenance today, July 18, 2025.


According to a public statement released by ECG, the interruption will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. as part of ongoing routine maintenance works aimed at enhancing electricity distribution and overall service reliability.
Communities that will be affected by the power cut include Sowutuom, Israel, Race Course, Shiabu, Beach Road, Gbawe Gonse, Joma Agbozome, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai Doblo, Fise Roca, Mericresent, Opah Township, Red Gate, and several surrounding neighborhoods.
ECG emphasized that the scheduled maintenance is part of broader efforts to upgrade infrastructure and meet the increasing demand for reliable electricity across the region.
In a brief statement, the company noted:
> “ECG will undertake planned maintenance works to improve service delivery.”
While the outage is temporary, ECG is urging all residents and businesses in the affected zones to prepare adequately. Businesses, schools, health centers, and households are advised to put in place contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
The company also expressed regret over the inconvenience, appealing for patience and cooperation from customers.
