President John Mahama Re-Nominates 4 Key Municipal and District Chief Executives in Accra

President John Dramani Mahama has re-nominated four Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) to serve in major assemblies within the Greater Accra Region. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation, and Religious Affairs in line with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.

Re-Nominated Executives

The following officials have been re-nominated, pending confirmation by their respective Assemblies:

  1. Ignatius Godfred Dordoe – Shai Osudoku District Assembly
  2. Rudolph Collingwoode-Williams – Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly
  3. Michael Mensah – Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly
  4. Alfredos Nii Anyetei – La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly

The statement, signed by the Minister for Local Government, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim (MP), and dated 15th May 2025, underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring capable leadership at the local level. The reappointment of these MDCEs aims to reinforce policy continuity and strengthen developmental projects in the Greater Accra Region.
