Advertisement and Sales of ENDS( vapes) announced illegal by the Food and Drugs Authority.

The food and drugs authority in Ghana is a body responsible for permitting and allowing the sales and advertisements of food and drugs of all types in the country. Any product which is not endorsed by them is either illegal or unhealthy to purchase.

In a statement released on the 5th of July, 2023, the FDA announced that the sales and advertisements of ENDS or Vapes is highly illegal making references to the constitution of Ghana. It further talks about the possible addictions this can cause because of its high nicotine levels.

Diseases not limited to cancer , heart diseases and gum diseases among others are mentioned in the released statement. Individuals are therefore advised to adhere to the rules but in place to avoid possible punishment by the law.
