NSA Releases 2025/2026 PIN Codes for Over 132,000 National Service Personnel

The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released PIN codes for 132,393 prospective personnel for the 2025/2026 service year. The announcement, made on Tuesday, June 17, comes with a stronger emphasis on data integrity and transparency.

According to the NSA, the drop in intake—26% below the average over the past three years and 36% less than the 2022/2023 figures—reflects improved validation protocols and the elimination of false submissions. These efforts have led to more accurate and credible service enrollment.

Out of 135,990 submissions from 122 tertiary institutions, 3,597 entries were withheld due to originating from 22 institutions that lack accreditation from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Graduates from these schools have 30 days to secure validation, or they risk exclusion from national service.

In addition, 908 private applicants—including Ghanaians who studied abroad or deferred previous service—are awaiting final verification. Those who do not receive their PIN codes by June 24 are advised to contact the NSA’s support channels.

Prospective personnel must activate their PIN codes by paying GH¢40 at ADB Bank or GH¢41 via MTN Mobile Money. Registration runs from June 17 to July 1, 2025 through the portal https://smarthub.nss.gov.gh.

To enhance security and ensure accurate regional placement, the NSA has introduced facial biometric verification using Ghana Card data and a verified GhanaPost GPS address system.

Furthermore, in a new initiative, select applicants will undergo a six-week Basic Military Training program. Interested participants can opt in during registration. The NSA assured that participation will not affect their main service postings.

For assistance, users can email support@nss.gov.gh or use the live chat on the registration portal. Detailed guides are also available at https://smarthub.nss.gov.gh/faq/registration-guide.

The NSA has expressed its commitment to a transparent and rewarding national service experience for all graduates.
