Mohammed Kudus Explains Why He Chose Tottenham Over Chelsea and Saudi Offers

Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus has opened up about his decision to join Tottenham Hotspur, following his high-profile £55 million transfer from West Ham United. The 24-year-old signed a six-year deal with the Europa League champions on Thursday, putting an end to speculation linking him with Chelsea and lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League.
Kudus has been handed the No. 20 jersey at Tottenham as he prepares to make his mark in North London. His switch marks another step in a promising European journey, which began at Ajax and flourished at West Ham, where he gained a reputation for his creativity, strength, and goal-scoring prowess.
Manager’s Vision Key to Kudus’ Choice
Speaking to Tottenham’s official website, Kudus pointed to the club’s long-term vision and the influence of manager Thomas Frank as key reasons behind his move.
“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and to develop under him,” Kudus said.
“With the history of where he’s come from, I’ve seen the amount of talent he’s developed to become great players. It’s a big sign of why I wanted to work under him as well,” he added.
Though he received attention from big-name clubs, including Chelsea, Kudus believes Tottenham offers the right environment to grow and compete at the highest level.

Kudus’ move has generated buzz among Spurs fans who are hopeful the Ghana international will bring flair and firepower to the squad in their upcoming Premier League campaign.
