‘There will be a showdown in 2028’ – Kennedy Agyapong declares ahead of elections

Former NPP flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong, has reignited hope within the New Patriotic Party, assuring members of a strong comeback in the 2028 general elections.
“We Will Return to Power,” Agyapong Declares
Speaking to TESCON members at KNUST, Agyapong was optimistic about the party’s future, vowing that “there will be a showdown” in 2028. He believes the NPP has the right talent and structures to regain power if the party remains united.

Forgiveness and Unity Crucial for Victory
The Assin Central firebrand urged party members to forgive past grievances and close ranks.
“In politics, we offend each other. Let us put it behind us. The only people who become better in society are those who forgive their brothers and friends who offend them,” he stated.

NPP Has the Men to Deliver Victory
Agyapong stressed that the NPP has capable men and with proper mobilization, a formidable campaign can be mounted.
“We need to come together and become one formidable force that is ready to fight… It will be tough, but with unity, I assure you, we have the men,” he said confidently.

Encouragement for the Party Base
He also advised members not to lose heart despite current political setbacks.
“Do not despair. Have hope. Have confidence that whatever any political party has done to win power, the NPP can do it too,” Agyapong concluded.
