Black Sherif will win Artiste of the Year in 2026 – Bulldog

Accra, May 19, 2025 — Renowned artist manager Bulldog, known in private life as Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, has boldly predicted that Black Sherif will be crowned Artiste of the Year at the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

Speaking during a panel discussion on United Television (UTV), Bulldog declared that the young rapper-singer’s dominance in the music industry is undeniable and will soon be rewarded at Ghana’s biggest music awards show.

“Next year is Black Sherif’s year. You people should record me and put this one there for evidence,” he confidently stated.

Bulldog, a long-time figure in Ghana’s music industry, also weighed in on Stonebwoy’s performance at the current TGMA, claiming the dancehall star was aware he would not win the topmost award.

“The one they were campaigning for is a spiritual person, and he knew he had lost already. Maybe his PR gave him some hope, but the signs were clear that Stonebwoy was going to lose,” he explained.

According to Bulldog, the tide has shifted in favour of younger, rising artists who are putting in impressive work, suggesting that Stonebwoy may struggle to reclaim the title in the coming years.

“He will lose in the subsequent year and the other years to follow,” Bulldog asserted.
