Former Miss Switzerland contestant and model Beatrice Keul has accused US President Donald Trump of rape, alleging that the incident occurred in 1993 during a meeting at the Plaza Hotel in New York.

The allegation was included in a report released by Democratic members of the US House of Representatives as part of an investigation into Trump’s alleged links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Keul had previously accused Trump of unwanted sexual advances in October 2024, claiming that he groped her during the same encounter. Her latest account goes further, alleging that the incident involved rape.

According to the report, Keul told Democratic committee staff members during interviews conducted over several weeks that she met Trump when she was 24 at a pageant-related press event at the Plaza Hotel, which he owned at the time.

She reportedly said Trump offered to help her obtain a visa and secure admission to New York University (NYU), telling her, “I will take care of you.”

Keul further alleged that after Trump left their conversation, Epstein approached her and introduced himself as “Don’s best friend.” He reportedly invited her to a party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, saying, “We organise many parties with Don.”

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein, maintaining that he ended their friendship years before allegations of criminal activity emerged. He has also described Epstein as a “creep” whom he expelled from his Mar-a-Lago club.

The report claims that a representative of Trump later invited Keul to meet him upstairs at the Plaza Hotel. It alleges that upon entering the room, Trump grabbed her from behind and raped her by force, tearing her dress and leaving her with bleeding and bruises.

“Keul described the rape as ‘brutal,’” the report stated.

According to the document, Keul alleged that after the incident, Trump sat her on the edge of the bed and repeated his offers to help her secure a visa and admission to NYU. She also claimed that he demanded her silence, telling her, “[T]he show must go on.”

In her earlier account published in October 2024, Keul described what she said happened during the encounter, alleging that Trump kissed her on the lips and neck before attempting to lift her dress.

“He kissed me on the lips and on the neck. He tried to lift my dress. He was grabbing and touching my body everywhere he could,” she said.

However, she maintained that the encounter did not progress further at that time, saying she attempted to stop his advances by suggesting they talk first.

“I tried everything I could. Finally, I said ‘let’s talk first’ or something like that, then he slowed down,” she said.

Keul also suggested that her height of 6 feet 1 inch may have helped prevent the alleged encounter from escalating further.

The report cited a longtime friend of Keul who reportedly said she had shared her account of Trump’s alleged unwanted advances with him about 20 years earlier and that her description of the incident had remained consistent.

White House rejects the allegations

The White House has dismissed the accusations, with Trump’s former press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, previously describing Keul’s claims as “fake.”

A White House spokesman also insisted that Trump had been “fully exonerated of anything related to Epstein.”

“This ‘report’ is nothing more than a desperate attempt by crazed Democrats to distract Americans from the surging Republican momentum driven by President Trump’s historic achievements,” the spokesman said.

The document also summarises allegations made by four other women who have accused Trump of rape or sexual assault.

It further alleges that Trump, Epstein and other individuals used the pageant held at the Plaza Hotel as a “‘hunting ground’ to prey on vulnerable young women and girls.”

Jamie Raskin, the ranking Democratic member of the committee, said five women had directly accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in circumstances involving Epstein or in his presence. He added that other accounts suggested Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell had attempted to traffic women to Trump.

“Trump’s Justice Department appears to be covering up these crimes to protect the President,” Raskin said in a statement accompanying the report’s release.

The allegations emerge amid continued political controversy over the handling of documents relating to Epstein and his associates.

The report was released shortly before the US midterm elections, as Republicans faced growing political pressure over the administration’s handling of the Epstein files, alongside concerns about inflation and rising energy prices linked to the conflict with Iran.

Note: The allegations described in the report remain allegations and should not be presented as established facts. Trump and the White House have denied wrongdoing.
