The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the country on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, warning residents to prepare for changing weather conditions throughout the day.

According to the agency’s morning forecast, some coastal and inland communities are expected to experience slight to moderate rainfall or thunderstorms during the early hours.

The anticipated weather conditions could disrupt morning activities, including commuting, outdoor work and travel. Residents in the affected areas are therefore advised to take precautions and plan their movements with the possibility of rain in mind.

GMet expects the weather to become sunnier in some parts of the country as the afternoon progresses, offering temporary relief from the morning’s unsettled conditions.

However, the improvement is not expected to last everywhere, as rainfall could return later in the day, particularly in the middle belt, transition zone and coastal areas.

Residents in these regions are encouraged to remain alert and prepare for possible changes in the weather, even where sunshine emerges earlier in the day.
