The Ghana Police Service has arrested 41 suspects during an intelligence-led operation targeting criminal and narcotics-related activities at Abeka Lapaz and Chantan.
The operation was conducted by the Special Operations Team (SOT) at about 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The suspects comprise 35 males and six females. Police said a search of the suspects and the operational areas led to the retrieval of quantities of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic substances.
All 41 suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the source, ownership and intended use of the suspected narcotic substances. Police say appropriate legal action will be taken against any suspect found culpable.
