The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the National Harmonised Prospectus for students preparing to enter Senior High School (SHS) in the 2026/2027 academic year.
The prospectus, which applies to both boarding and day students, outlines the essential items students are expected to have for their enrolment and smooth start to the academic year.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 3, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the GES urged parents and prospective students to carefully review the prospectus and make the necessary preparations ahead of the upcoming school year.
The Service has also directed SHSs and other relevant stakeholders to adhere strictly to the requirements outlined in the harmonised prospectus to promote consistency and ensure a smooth admission process nationwide.
According to the GES, releasing the prospectus ahead of the school placement exercise is intended to give parents and guardians adequate time to secure the items their wards will need before reporting to school.
The Service therefore encouraged parents, guardians and students to take note of the requirements and prepare accordingly.
