Ghanaian players continued to make their mark across Europe over the weekend, with Kwaku Karikari emerging as the standout performer after an impressive substitute appearance in Serbia.
Karikari came off the bench to score a sensational hat-trick and provide an assist as Zeleznicar Pancevo cruised to a commanding 5-1 victory over Radnik. His introduction proved decisive as he played a key role in the emphatic win.
Joseph Opoku also maintained his impressive start at Swansea City, scoring his second goal for the club in their convincing 3-0 Championship victory over Derby County.
In Israel, Samuel Owusu found the back of the net for Maccabi Petah Tikva in their 2-1 triumph over Sakhnin, while Athletic Club striker Inaki Williams set up a goal in his side’s 2-0 win against Celta Vigo in Spain.
Fatawu Issahaku registered an assist for Ipswich Town, although his contribution could not prevent the club from suffering a heavy 5-2 defeat to Manchester United.
Mohammed Kudus also made his return from injury for Tottenham, featuring in their 2-0 home loss to Newcastle United.
In Germany, Gideon Mensah made his debut for FC Koln and helped the club secure a 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim. Edmund Baidoo, meanwhile, featured for Salzburg in their 4-1 win over Austria Vienna.
Elsewhere, Enock Otoo scored for Levadia in Estonia, while Carl Davordzie provided an assist for Sepsi in Romania. Prince Owusu also registered an assist as Dunajska Streda cruised to a resounding 6-1 victory over Skalica.
Other Ghanaian players, including Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, Joseph Paintsil, Abdul Baba Rahman and Alexander Djiku, also featured for their respective clubs as Ghanaian talents remained prominent across Europe.
