Three people have died and two others sustained injuries in a fatal Kyebi–Asikam road crash in the Eastern Region.
The accident occurred on Monday, August 10, and involved a Toyota RAV4 with registration number CR 657-21 and a Kia Picanto registered GC 2066-19.

A six-member crew from the Kyebi Fire Station arrived at the scene at about 3:30 p.m. and found the RAV4 severely damaged at the front, while the Kia Picanto had overturned into a pit.
Firefighters, with assistance from civilians at the scene, rescued the injured victims and transported them to the Kibi Government Hospital for treatment.

Two male occupants sustained injuries, while three occupants of the Kia Picanto were pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the RAV4 lost control, veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the Kia Picanto.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the Kyebi–Asikam road crash.
Authorities are expected to continue investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the accident.
