Editorial Ethics & Independence
Insight Ghana operates with a clear commitment to accuracy, fairness, balance, and editorial independence. As a Ghanaian-owned platform, our newsroom is guided by facts, context, and ethical responsibility in service of the public interest.
Editorial Independence
Insight Ghana's newsroom operates without political or commercial influence. Editorial decisions, including which stories to cover and how to report them, are made independently by our editorial team based on newsworthiness and the public interest, not on the interests of advertisers, sponsors, partners, or any political, governmental, or commercial entity.
No Pay-for-Coverage
Insight Ghana does not accept payment, gifts, or any other inducement in exchange for favourable coverage, placement, or omission of news content. Our reporting cannot be bought. Any commercial relationship, such as advertising or sponsorship, is kept separate from editorial decision-making and is clearly labelled where it appears alongside content.
Conflicts of Interest
Journalists and editors at Insight Ghana are expected to disclose any personal, financial, or professional interest that could reasonably be seen to influence their reporting. Where a potential conflict exists, the story is reassigned, the relationship is disclosed to readers, or both, depending on the circumstances.
Fairness and Right of Reply
Individuals and organisations who are the subject of critical reporting are given a fair opportunity to respond before publication wherever practicable, and any response is fairly represented.
Accountability
Insight Ghana is accountable to its readers. Concerns about editorial conduct, conflicts of interest, or possible breaches of these principles can be raised with our editorial team at press@insightghana.com.gh, and will be reviewed by senior editorial staff.
