Editorial Standards

Insight Ghana is an independent digital news organisation providing timely, accurate, and context-driven reporting on Ghana and its place in the world. These editorial standards describe how our newsroom sources, verifies, produces, and reviews the content we publish.

Sourcing and Verification

Our reporting is based on verifiable facts, on-the-record sources, official statements, documents, and credible secondary reporting. Where information cannot be independently verified, we say so explicitly in the story. We seek comment from relevant parties on stories that concern them wherever practicable.

Editorial Review Process

All content published by Insight Ghana is produced or reviewed by an experienced editorial team before publication. Articles are checked for factual accuracy, fairness, balance, and compliance with Ghanaian media law prior to going live. Bylines identify the author responsible for each piece, and author profile pages list relevant background and credentials.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Insight Ghana may use AI-powered tools to support newsroom workflows, such as transcription, translation, headline suggestions, research assistance, and image optimisation. AI tools are not used to fabricate quotes, sources, or events. Any article that is substantially drafted with the assistance of AI is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a member of our editorial team before publication, who takes full editorial responsibility for the final content. We do not publish synthetic or AI-generated images as factual depictions of real events without clear labelling.

Corrections and Feedback

We welcome feedback from readers on the accuracy and fairness of our reporting. Our approach to corrections is set out in our Corrections Policy. Readers can reach our editorial team at press@insightghana.com.gh.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

Insight Ghana clearly distinguishes between editorial content and any sponsored, promotional, or paid content. Sponsored content is labelled as such and does not influence our independent news judgement.
